Highway Engineering

Roads engineered to last

Our nation's roadways are critical to maintaining our American way of life - playing a vital role in how we vacation, work, live, shop, and explore. Clark Dietz, in partnership with state, county, and local governments has visualized, designed, and built highway improvements that enhance the quality of life. We aim to make our roadways safe, efficient, and sustainable. In order to do so, we manage every aspect of roadway design, engineering, and construction. Highway engineering services include:

  • Context Sensitive Solutions/Design
  • Feasibility Studies
  • Corridor Studies
  • Highway Design
  • Interchange/Intersections
  • Environmental Documents
  • Sustainability

Details matter. Context counts. Designing American roadways to fit community needs. Clark Dietz.

Context Sensitive Solutions (CSS)
Clark Dietz realizes the value of working with communities in developing, building, and maintaining cost-effective solutions that reflect a project's surroundings or "context". By promoting early and frequent interactive communication with stakeholders, the community becomes a part of the design team from preliminary design to construction and beyond. Our CSS experience includes:

  • Training in group facilitation methods including facilitation workshops, focused conversation, action planning, and conflict resolution
  • Assisting IDOT in developing their CSS training program
  • Development of stakeholder involvement programs

Clark Dietz is a leader in CSS, driving two of the State of Illinois' first CSS projects.
